AYUKUA
SAKTI is a Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 having its origin in Barajol village, in Birbhum district situated in the western part of West Bengal along the boundary line of Bihar-Jharkhand State. The area is inhabiting domination of tribal population combined with poor scheduled caste and the most backward classes totally depending upon agriculture without any means of irrigation who could hardly improve the living standard, awareness level, educational level, financial status and life style even after 75 long years of independence. Ayukua Sakti Trust, a not
for profit making organization, staunchly believes in Social and economic
empowerment to all its beneficiaries by confining them under one roof. It is an
organization which works on the multiple beneficial schemes in order to support
the community on a diversified pattern. There is a clear need for there to be a
trustworthy micro finance initiative in today’s times. The program identifies
the gaps in other micro finance initiatives and caters to those. With a focus on
savings, the program encourages the beneficiaries to realize the importance to
save and the focus on financial literacy helps them to manage their money
better. The main motto of the organization is to promote a large number of
sustainable livelihoods, for the rural poor and women, through the provision of
financial services and technical assistance in an integrated manner, so that
they turn out to be economically independent. The basic idea is to serve the
society economically and socially by being involved in the development sector.
Objective of the organisation:-
- Organizing the village women into CBOs, SHGs, Co-operatives with a strong believe on women empowerment.
- Skill training for livelihood and self-employment for youths.
- Motivation & supportive assistance for income generation activities.
- Sanitation, cleanliness, mother-child care, medical assistance to the needy.
- Literacy and educational development for woman.
- Development of local natural and human resources.
- Water management, irrigation, natural resource development, kitchen gardening and ecological upgrade.
- Organic farming assistance, Animal Husbandary.
